… it’s 6 am at Qalandia Checkpoint, north of Jerusalem… behind the border installations lies the Westbank, Ramallah and the Palestinian territories… here, in the village of Quatana, lives Imad Hoshiyah… like many other Palestinian workers he crosses the checkpoint twice a day… in the morning on his way to work and in the evening on the way back… Imad is heading for a hotel in the centre of town where he cleans rooms… Jerusalem is the city of pilgrims, a holy place for Jews, Christians and Muslims… a city of dreams – and a city of wars…
