The Invisible Contract

Who cleans your city? The Invisible Contract reflects on the concept of being invisible, drawing on the testimony, experiences, and scenes from the lives of women in charge of cleaning public spaces in Mexico City. Told with a range of narrative devices including observational cinema, interviews, testimonial cinema, and fiction, all leading to a reflection on invisibility and job precariousness. The documentary portrays women's daily struggle to be heard, a constant fight to improve their labor conditions, each in their own way, focusing on their lives and points of view, with the aim of shining a spotlight and reinterpreting the invisibility of their existence.
