Barajas

View on the Pragda STREAM site

Barajas explores the haphazardous death of Angel Rama, Marta Traba, Manuel Scorza, and Jorge Ibargüengoitia in a plane crash near Madrid's airport of Barajas in 1983. Through the archival footage of these four authors - each from a different Latin American country and resident of Paris - the filmmaker evokes the continent’s visual memory during the second half of the 20th century, full social and ideological struggle, dictatorships, and exiles that influenced a whole generation.
