Cooking at the World's End

COOKING AT THE WORLD’S END invites us to embark on a journey through all that defines Galician cuisine. Documenting a land and a people endeavoring to unravel the delicate balance between tradition and modernity, the film presents us with both new and traditional dishes from preparation to stovetop to table. When crisis hits the prestigious chefs’ association of Galicia, Grupo Nove, members contemplate the outlook of their group’s future. Director Alberto Baamonde Bello depicts these chefs’ successes and sacrifices as they passionately hone their craft, all the while offering audiences a window into the silent revolution of Galicia’s nouvelle cuisine.
