In the slums of Nairobi, the water supply is in hands of the water cartel. They steal the water from the government and sell it for a lot of money. Women who cannot pay are dealt with mercilessly. In the meantime, a Dutchman has come up with a solution, but will he able to bring about a change?

Series Description

The four part series Water Crime delves into the dark world behind drought and links the global water shortage to a crime scene including a victim, an eyewitness, a suspect and a perpetrator. A dead man in the Mexican desert, a Spanish toddler’s fatal fall into a well, a rape in Nairobi and explosions of a pipeline near a Greek island. Each episode in Water Crime shows a different place in the world where water disappears and moral dilemmas arise.
